 | Group 74’s tag line is: “For a Better Community” and one of the many ways they try to achieve this is through the Christmas in the Village and Festival of Lights event held at Grass Park in downtown Brooklin every year in November. This year (2008) it was held on November 30rd and is a great way to kick off the holiday season. There is free hot chocolate, the lighting of the Christmas tree, horse and wagon rides and Santa Claus visiting, only to name a few of the many exciting events. It is a night when the true meaning of family and community spirit comes together and despite the freezing cold temperatures, the love in the air warms everyone from head to toe. |
